A question about a type of pot

Would it be a bad thing if i would use a rectangular pot? like 3ft x 1,5ft x 0.66ft hight
potentialy giving me more soil to work with but spread out. i have difficulties to grow in hight so i have to spread my canopy with a scrog / lst
